ContingencyWorks Inc.
ContingencyWorks is a solutions provider that focuses on data integrity and security. By bringing together smart people and new ideas, it hopes to change the way businesses think about their data and how it is processed and stored.
Incorporated in 2007, ContingencyWorks is the amalgamation of two smaller software development companies, both of which focused on contract based development. Now as ContingencyWorks, they plan to take on more ambitious projects; the first such project is the EpochBox.
Corporate Culture
A corporate philosophy that both founders of ContingencyWorks believe strongly in (and one that has been shown at many successful software companies) is that having the best people is crucial to success. Companies such as Google have shown that to get the best and brightest developers, you must create an atmosphere that makes them want to work hard and to work smart. Sometimes this involves diverging slightly from the business norm in order to ensure that you can attract the right people. Sometimes it just means flextime. Sometimes it is something as simple as free pop for developers. Whatever it is, is has been shown to work.
